A finished SINNVO landing door set flush into a white villa hallway wall, call button beside it

What to Measure Before You Ask for a Quote

· 2 min read

Five measurements and one photo are enough for an accurate first reply. Here is what to measure, how, and what happens once we have it.

Every villa elevator is engineered to a specific shaft. The more precisely we know that shaft, the more precise our first reply can be, and the fewer rounds of questions it takes to reach a real price.

You do not need drawings to begin. These five points, plus a photo, are enough.

1. Shaft width × depth

Measure the finished internal dimensions, in millimetres: the clear space inside the shaft walls, after plaster or cladding, not the structural opening. If the shaft is not built yet, give the space you can set aside for it.

2. Pit depth and overhead height

The pit is the space below the lowest floor level; the overhead height is the space above the top floor's ceiling line. If a pit is not possible, say so: the Strong-Drive structure needs no pit and only low headroom.

3. Number of floors and travel height

Count every floor the elevator should stop at, including a basement or roof terrace, and give the total travel height from the lowest to the highest stop.

4. Door positions

On each floor, which side does the door open to? Tell us whether the doors are all on the same side, on opposite sides, or on adjacent sides. Doors on adjacent or three sides usually point to a Backpack Frame layout.

5. Your preferred style

A collection name from our Collections is perfect, but a photo of your interior works just as well. Finishes can follow the materials already used in your home.

What happens next

Work always starts from the shaft you already have: pit depth, overhead height and floor openings are checked against the drawing before anything is fitted.

Once we have your shaft dimensions, floor count and preferred structure, we prepare the actual cross-section, layout drawings and technical specification for your unit as part of your quotation. We usually reply within two business days.
